Well written page turner! Excellent story...in the style of Dick Francis but a little "racier" so not for young readers. I loved this book and can't wait for more. I was instructed to rest for a day after surgery and this book kept me fully entertained all day.

A Dangerous Legacy
A Dangerous Legacy is a work of fiction, but its theme explores a very real danger – morbillivirus, now known as Hendra virus, is killing horses, and humans, in Australia right now.
Set against the background of the horse racing industry in England and Australia, this book provides insight into the threat to the modern world from biological aberrations of viruses and from knowledge and power placed in the wrong hands.
Within the space of a few tumultuous days, Ben Eastlake is faced with the death of his sister in suspicious circumstances, the disappearance of her husband and the unwanted guardianship of their two teenage children.
Ben gradually learns of sinister forces at work as he becomes involved in exposing a bizarre and evil scheme involving the Hendra virus, simplistic in concept yet with the potential to escalate on an exponential scale.
To Ben the danger seems so clear. It is real, it exists, but who will take action? Scientists, maybe. Governments, possibly. Terrorist organisations? Of course, but they are ten steps ahead anyway.
Ben’s desperate efforts to save his family and prevent catastrophe from occurring on a grand scale parallel his own individual search for fulfilment, or at least a reason for living. He is finally drawn into a situation where he is forced to confront his past in order to secure his family’s future.
